British Asbestos Worker Dies from Malignant Mesothelioma
A man who began work as a teenager in a British carriage works company died in York, England at the age of 59. Keith Wright was a teenager when he began as an apprentice at the carriage works in 1965. More than 50 years later he was diagnosed with asbestos-related malignant mesothelioma and began chemotherapy. But it was too late to save him, according to mesothelioma attorneys.
Wright worked in the repair shop and said he had been exposed to blue asbestos and other forms of the toxic material in various parts of the company.
It is believed about 110 workers who formerly were employed at York Carriage works have succumbed to asbestos-related diseases.
