A Toronto neighborhood was evacuated recently because of  feared asbestos exposure after an explosion in a Sunrise Propane facility. Some 12,000 people were evacuated as a precaution against exposure to airborne asbestos, a known toxic substance that can cause mesothelioma, a deadly lung cancer.
